HOW TO

store seafood

Thawed seafood can be safely stored in the fridge for up to two days. Place it on a plate covered with cling wrap or in a sealed container and ensure it’s used within two days of purchase.

If you’re not cooking it right away, wrap the seafood securely in plastic or foil and freeze it for up to four months.

After handling raw seafood, thoroughly clean cutting boards, surfaces, and utensils to prevent bacteria from spreading to fresh foods. For added safety, use a plastic cutting board instead of a wooden one, as wood can absorb bacteria due to its porous nature.
