Lemony Squid Strip Stir Fry


  • Serves 4

  • 600g Breco Squid Steaks - cut into 1cm thick strips

  • 1 tbls Breco Lemon Juice

  • 2 tsp Grated Ginger

  • 2 Cloves Grated Garlic

  • 1 Small Chilli - Finely Chopped

  • 1 tsp Olive Oil

  • Salt and Pepper to taste

  • 1/2 to 3/4 Cup Corn Flour

  • 4 tbls Butter

  • Zest of 1 ripe Lemon

  • Juice of 1 ripe Lemon

  • 2 Spring Onions - tops chopped

  • 4 Cloves of Garlic - grated

  • 2 tbls Chopped Coriander or Flat Leaf Parsley


  • Place the Squid Strips in a bowl with the Lemon Juice, Ginger, Garlic, Chilli and Olive Oil - Season with Salt and pepper to taste

  • Stir together well

  • Dust the Strips with Corn Flour

  • Heat Half of the Olive Oil in a non-stick frying pan and fry the Squid Strips in 3 batches till golden - set aside

  • Pour off any Oil from the pan and add the Lemon Juice, Butter, Zest, Spring Onions and Garlic - Cook for 1 minute

  • All the Squid to the pan and stir to coat

  • Serve with savoury rice and a crip green salad. For an extra Lemon 'zing' serve with a splash of Breco Lemon and Herb sauce
